The president of Syria, Bashar al-Assad, launched a chemical attack in Idlib, Syria. This was an opposition-held territory. While possibly helping him fight off rebels, he burned, tortured, and killed thousands of men, women, and children that were completely innocent by doing this. Donald Trump decided to take action by sending 49 tomahawk cruise missiles to Syrian air bases, destroying the resources and aircraft needed to carry out further chemical attacks. Tensions are higher than ever, and a declaration of war between the United States and Syria is likely. Russia, a strong ally of Syria, has warned the two against this, however.
While Trump had been campaigning, he claimed he would "bomb the -expletive- out of ISIS". Basically, he was going to attack the Islamic State via mostly airstrikes. Trump decided to bomb an ISIS base in Afghanistan using a bomb known as the Massive Ordnance Air Blast, or MOAB for short. This is also sometimes called the Mother of All Bombs, because of its size and abbreviation. It is the strongest non-nuclear bomb ever created, and it was dropped on this ISIS base.
Some condone the actions of Trump, while some condemn them. How do you feel?
